Do you know an entrepreneur that has a great idea but need some financial help and exposure in order for their idea to become a success? If the answer to this question is YES then you should tell them about The Heat is on Awards 2010 which has a £20,000 prize package for the winner.

The Heat is on Awards is a business ideas competition for entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland. Some examples of the ideas that the judges could consider are, a traditional business idea but with an innovative spin on it, or a completely new untested idea or invention. The entrant has to be 18 or over and the business must not have started trading yet.
 
The 6 most imaginative and feasible ideas will get the opportunity to present to a “Dragons Den” panel in the Burnavon Centre in Cookstown at a gala final night on the 2nd December 2010. 
 
The winner will receive £5,000 cash (provided by the main sponsor County Stoves in Cookstown) as well as a radio advertising campaign for their idea across the Q Network (5FM, 6FM and 7FM) extensive newspaper advertising coverage in the Alpha Newspaper Group. There is also 2 Years free access to a new online management system (developed by Dungannon Enterprise Centre for SME’s) “Smartboss” with online mentored support for the winner.
 
This is the second year of the Heat is on Awards with last year’s winner a joint venture by two Tyrone men Liam Keelagher and David Russell that developed a new humane device to control cattle when administrating medication. Applications for the awards must be received by the 31st August 2010 and can be downloaded or completed from www.theheatisonawards.com
